Pantai Suwuk River View Bungalow

A nice spot for taking your child out for recreation.

A lovely summer.

I came all the way from Bandung planning to stay here, and it felt like a prank. The hotel had already fallen into ruins, but it was still listed on the app, where my check-in kept failing. I eventually drove straight to the place in the middle of the night and searched around without finding it. I only learned in the afternoon that it was in ruins.

The room had an amazing view for such a cheap stay. Facing the river, we could look right to see it flowing downstream and left to see it meet the sea. Kebumen doesn't have many accommodations, at least not ones I come across, and this bungalow is the most decent and okay I've found. Suwuk Beach is just to the left, and Karangbolong Beach is across from us. It's only a 2-4 minute walk to Suwuk Beach, so head there in the morning for breakfast stalls selling kupat sayur, sop ayam, nasi pecel, and more. The beach also has the famous "undur undur," "yingking," small shrimp snacks, little crabs, and other seafood found on the Kebumen coast. Give them a try! The bungalow also has a water park, but it seemed poorly maintained. We arrived at night and couldn't tell it was there because all the lights were off; from the front it looked abandoned. Maybe they could clean it up so it doesn't seem abandoned or make the place feel so dirty.
