Bali Sunshine Ubud by ZUZU

The pool was good, and the room was spacious with a useful closet. But it wasn’t clean, the bathroom smelled, and there was a lot of damp on the walls. The air conditioning worked very slowly, so we left it running during the day. The bar was closed while we were there, so we had to go out for drinks. Since it’s a little outside the main village, you need a scooter to get them.

The hosts were lovely and even arranged a bike, which was very convenient. The accommodation is affordable and quite decent, and we added another night because of their hospitality. Ubud is only a few minutes away, and Tegenungan waterfall is nearby too.

The view from our room was quite nice, and the food was fine. Staff were friendly, and it cost less than other places in the area. Still, it’s far from the center’s shops and activities. Staying in the room by the art gallery felt a bit unsettling if you’re not used to the local culture. The pool wasn’t very clean, with a couple of insects floating in it.

I enjoyed staying here, and it was good for my mental healing. The villa has a natural feel, with calming water sounds from the fish pond. There are ants, water striders, caterpillars, and other insects in the garden, and some ants get into the room, so it may not suit anyone who dislikes bugs. The staff are very friendly, and coffee and tea are available in the pantry.
