Kartika Dahayu Villa

The villa itself is spacious and beautiful, but getting there is a real drawback. It’s far from town, with nothing around the resort to buy, and it doesn’t feel like a typical resort. Breakfast is included, but the choices are limited to things like two slices of bread, an omelette, and juice. You have to order a day ahead or you won’t get breakfast. The restaurant shuts at 5 PM, and there’s no dinner option. I don’t like this property.

This is a relaxing base for visiting Ubud spots, and the villa is great value, especially with its very large, deep private pool. The room and pool were cleaned well, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Lunch at the restaurant is reasonably priced, but it closes at 5 PM, so dinner is a problem. There’s free entry to the small Butterfly Park and Water Park. The adult slides weren’t usable when I was there, and I hope they fix that. A Smart TV is provided too.

Our room was spotless, and the waterpool was clean too. We spent a week here and found it peaceful, a nice break from Ubud’s busy streets. The staff were always helpful and ready to assist, and the breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. A restful, pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it.

The service was excellent, and they even sorted out a bike rental for us. We stayed three nights in a one-bedroom private pool villa. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we also got complimentary tickets for the butterfly park and waterpark, plus a 10% discount on souvenirs. It was a really good stay.
