Semaya Homestay

We stayed four nights with eight friends. It’s between Ubud, Gianyar, and Sukawati, but a bit far from central Ubud and any convenience stores. The room was spacious and clean, with good upkeep. You can pay extra for another bed and still have room to move around. The AC was very cold and the hot water worked fine, though the lighting was a little dim. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a small kitchen for making simple meals. The pool was clean.

The garden and pool were the highlight for me, both looked amazing and were clearly well cared for. A perfect spot for an afternoon nap. The room was clean and fine, though the bathroom had a dampness issue, as mentioned before, with no window or ventilation. The staff were really kind and helpful with whatever guests needed. It’s a peaceful place away from Ubud’s crowds and noise, but you’ll need a scooter or Grab to get around. For me, the quiet made that worthwhile.

Such a nice hotel, run by genuinely lovely people who were happy to help. Thanks for having us. We’ll be back :)

I spent three days here and didn’t run into a single problem. The location was amazing, and the staff were incredibly helpful, sorting out a volcano hike, bike rental, and Balinese massage for us. Eric and Febby were especially lovely. Honestly, one of the best places to stay.
