RedDoorz Plus near Haluoleo University

We were exhausted after flying all night with a lot of filming equipment, and we ended up moving to a much better hotel, even though we'd booked this one for four days. The dust set off my allergy, and the rooms were dark, dirty, dusty, had bugs and spiders, and the water heater didn't work properly. We cleaned the insects off the bed and tried to sleep, but decided it was better to leave than get sick on a business trip. We'd chosen the hotel because of its name while looking for somewhere near Haluoleo University, but it was actually 4 kilometers away. It was 8 kilometers from central Kendari, where there were many better hotels within a 4 kilometer radius. When we arrived, someone else was in our booked family room because they had extended their stay. After about an hour of arguing, we were given two rooms instead. There were three of us, and the booking app showed the family room was for three. They handed over the keys and told us where to go, but didn't help with our bags. We had to carry everything up to the second floor because there was no elevator. Maybe they were annoyed after the argument, but it still felt like poor service. When we checked out, we finally met the manager. She didn't apologize and instead scolded us, saying one room was for two guests. We had proof the app listed the room for three, and the family who extended their stay and took our room had five people. It was a terrible experience, but our trip wasn't ruined since we found a much better hotel.
