Destiny Villas & Residence Seminyak

Destiny Villa was peaceful but still close to everything we needed, and the price felt very reasonable for the setting and comfort. Yanty, the manager, was kind and attentive throughout, and all the staff were lovely and ready to help. It was a pleasant stay with a relaxed atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it.

The free breakfast and service are the only things I’d give points for. Guests might as well be having a buffet for the mosquitoes. There was lizard droppings everywhere, and I wondered if the staff even cleaned. It’s a long walk from reception to the villas. The AC had run out of gas and needed a refill, so the first night felt like sleeping in a sauna. Mosquitoes bit my face where the thick blanket didn’t cover me, and the whole night was a battle that left me short on sleep. I was considering checking out and sleeping in a hotel in the middle of the night. Also, there’s NO AIRCON IN LIVING ROOM. I’ll never return.

The location worked really well for us, with restaurants, supermarkets, shops, and fast-food places within walking distance. The pool was a memorable part of the stay, and fresh towels were provided every day. Our eight days at Destiny Villas & Residencies were comfortable, with a homely feel, an organized kitchen, and useful appliances. The manager and staff were welcoming. We arrived a few hours before check-in, and after we asked, they quickly got the room ready. Devi was especially cooperative and kind. Our requests were handled to a high standard, room service met expectations daily, and any problems with keys, food, taxis, or comfort were resolved quickly. Breakfast arrived on time each morning, and everyone’s needs were considered. One of our guests was a child who needed gluten-free food. After we bought a pack of gluten-free noodles at a local supermarket, the staff cooked them for us. Their hospitality was one of the best experiences we’ve had. I’d love to stay again if we return to Bali, and would recommend this homely villa to anyone visiting Seminyak.

Destiny Villas and Residence was a disappointing stay. We didn’t have hot water or any water in the room. There was no parking, and staff only helped with our bags after we offered to pay. We got no welcome drinks, and although we had booked a double bed, they gave us single beds and joined them only after we asked. Overall, the service was lacking.
