Double D Guesthouse and Villa

I booked this guesthouse based on photos and descriptions sent to me beforehand. When I saw the room in person, it didn’t match what had been advertised. It was damp and unclean, and I wasn’t comfortable staying there. Since I arrived very late, around 4am, I’d already sent my luggage to the property earlier that day. Once I’d properly seen the room, I decided not to go ahead with the stay. I never occupied it or stayed overnight. The agent/owner took the matter public instead of handling it professionally. They shared my personal photo and phone number online without my consent, and I then received unwanted messages and harassment. It was extremely distressing and made me feel unsafe. Future guests should know that the rooms may not look like the advertised photos, declining to stay after viewing one led to public escalation instead of a professional resolution, and my personal information was shared publicly rather than handled privately. I strongly advise inspecting the room in person before sending luggage or committing to a long stay, and being cautious about how disputes are handled.

Booking this place was a total mistake. It’s poorly maintained, and the room was dirty, with heavily stained sheets. A large gap meant the doors wouldn’t close properly, letting heat and, worse, mosquitoes inside. The staff member on duty tried to help, but there wasn’t much he could do. The photos don’t look anything like what you actually get. There’s another property with the same name in Canggu, and I was misled by its Google reviews when choosing this one. The location is pretty far out, nowhere near the beach or restaurants. The only useful thing nearby is a petrol station across the road where you can buy things. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the swimming pool is nice. The hotel is on Tegal cupek in Umalas, central Bali, with Circle K nearby and easy access to everywhere. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful, and the service is good quality. Prices are reasonable and well within budget. I’d recommend it and would love to stay again. Thank you 🙏

I love how convenient the location is. The facilities and service are great, with a little bit of everything, and the service is top-notch. Definitely recommend it if you want a strategic spot and excellent service.
