Sans Hotel Sunset Point Seminyak

The lift opens onto a second floor that already smells of cigarette smoke, with ashes scattered around. My room was old and dusty, the wall had a few spots with mold, and the fairly large bathroom wasn't quite clean either. I only stayed one night, and rain flooded my room. When I reported it before checkout the next morning, they asked if my things had got wet. They apologized, but didn't offer anything complimentary. I wouldn't have taken anything anyway.

The bed and washroom were okay, and so was the room, but the staff member's attitude was really poor. He wouldn't show us the room or help with our bags, and we weren't even given towels.

I stayed four days after seeing the one-star reviews. It's an old building, and the room has no real window, so for the price it works as a place to sleep and leave your things. The service was super, unlike what some reviews say. When I asked for things they had, like water or an iron, staff brought them right to the room. They also cleaned regularly, which felt like a lot of service for that price.

It's cheap, but there's a cost to that. The location is handy, with the center, coffee shop, fast food, and grocery store all within walking distance, plus ATMs right outside. Still, this was the worst hotel I've stayed in. The room was dirty and had a cockroach. The AC barely worked. The bathroom was worse: it smelled of sewer, the toilet was loose and didn't seem fixed to the floor properly, and the sink was clogged. I wouldn't recommend it even at this low price.
