The Khayangan Dreams Villa Umalas

Ari was a great manager, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The staff were friendly and really helpful throughout my five nights in a one-bedroom villa in Seminyak. It exceeded my expectations. I'll be back, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The pool water was a little dirty, which was the main downside. Otherwise, this was a really nice villa, and I got a free upgrade. It had two bedrooms, though the second one was locked since I'd only booked one room. There was plenty of space, a big pool, and a large, clean living room and kitchen with utensils for cooking and eating. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and nice too. One of the nicest villas I've stayed in.

We tried to leave a night early and gave more than 24 hours' notice, but they said we'd still be charged. The place was also a bit out of the way without a scooter. It felt dated and poorly maintained, with a general sense of dirtiness. Breakfast the next morning was probably the worst we've ever had, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable, sometimes not working at all. The photos are fair to the place. There are lots of nicer villas to stay at in Bali.

The villa staff, including reception, were very nice, but the office manager was awful to deal with. When we raised the problems, he was rude and even asked us to go with him to the police station. It made no sense, especially in such a beautiful country. We had planned to spend the last five days of a great Bali trip here, but the villa was a huge disappointment. The website pictures looked nothing like what we found. The pool wall was grey and dirty, and things in the bedroom were broken or unclean, including the shower and the net. The Wi-Fi either didn't work or was painfully slow, like an old 56k modem. For this price, the other villas we'd stayed in around Bali were much better. Avoid.
