The view is nice, and for the price I think it’s worth it, but it gets very cold. The triangular cabin is made of bamboo, so bring a thick jacket or you’ll freeze. Its wooden door has no key and uses a very primitive lock, which may suit some people. The facilities are nearly good. There’s no hot tub, but you can use the kitchen, and the owner sells firewood. If you’re coming by motorcycle, I suggest taking a detour because the road is very steep.

Black Sand Jeep was the best.
As soon as you arrive, there are views of Mount Batur and rice paddies. It’s a clean, unusual place with a glamping setup and a peaceful atmosphere that’s good for unwinding. The owner and staff are friendly, and they sell food too, which is handy if you don’t want to go out to eat.
In Kintamani, we found a comfortable place to stay, ‘Soul montain Batur’. The room was really comfortable and had the distinctive Kintamani scenery. You’ll be surprised by how beautiful the mountain looks in the morning. The very cold Kintamani air has its own charm and makes me want to come back. There’s also a little canteen with snacks, popmie, coffee, and more, delivered straight to your room. They offer jeep rentals for exploring Black lava, too. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and light conversation accompanied us on our way out. By the way, hot water is available for anyone who can’t handle cold water.
