Kembali Villa

We stayed four nights at the Kembali villa and would gladly return. The villa, garden and pool were clean and well cared for, and the staff did everything they could to help. We found board games there and spent ages playing under the gazebo with the ocean view. We also never heard the nearby karaoke or any loud music during our stay, despite comments about it. Komang arranged massages at the villa each day, and the therapists were really good. We had breakfast by the pool with the waves in the background, then enjoyed massages under the gazebo. Komang also asked what we liked and didn't like, and surprised us with delicious meals. She can arrange all your supplies, too. The locals collecting stones on the beach to earn money were friendly and happy to say hello. There were lots of dogs around as well. When I felt nervous about dogs approaching me, locals noticed and kindly shooed them away so I felt safer. At sunset, we walked along the beach beneath the coconut trees. A kilometer to the left of the villa, we found a small beach village where we could buy soft drinks and snacks. It was my birthday while we were there, and Komang arranged a cake and made me a lovely bouquet with flowers from the garden.

The house felt peaceful, warm and safe, and I hope to come back more often. The owner looked after guests professionally and kindly. Ibu, who takes care of the house, was so kind and helpful, and she cooks very well.

We were only there for two days, and a lot went wrong. The roof leaked and the toilet was clogged. The AC started leaking within the first hour, then the Wi-Fi stopped working for several hours. After one day, the pool had turned green. The place wasn't properly maintained.

The view is remarkable, and the staff are unbelievable. If you're looking to stay on Bali's north side, this place is perfect.
