We paid 142 k for one night for two people. The ground-floor rooms offered by Red doorz are dark and damp, while Riverside hotel offers the more expensive upper floors. The first room they showed us was covered in mold and smelled awful, a serious health hazard. The second was somewhat better but still very wet. Its bed was painfully uncomfortable, sinking about 30 centimetres under us, with springs pressing into our backs and shoulders. The toilet smelled terrible. There were a few positives: the room was fairly spacious, the shower had hot water, and the location is very close to the city center.

The sheets had been laundered, the air conditioning worked well, and the price was good. But the room was severely run down, with stains on the walls and sheets. The AC drained into the bathroom, leaving it constantly wet. We tried two rooms and could feel the mattress springs in both.

For this price, it's a great deal. The room was spacious and reasonably clean, with working AC and hot water. They even provided a small bag of shampoo and shower gel, plus soap and toothbrushes. We were pleasantly surprised to get more here for so little than at Bunaken, where we paid about 40€/night. A good place for one night, or maybe two.
