The facilities were okay and clean, and the front desk service was good. The AC might need another service so it cools properly. What really lets Silvya Kupang down is the security. They're rude, indifferent, and unfriendly, and don't help guests arriving in cars. They stand in the driveway and block vehicles. That's a sharp contrast with Silvya Maumere and Labuan, where the service is excellent across the board. Silvya Kupang should replace the security team, because the poor welcome at the entrance affects the hotel and could put guests off booking.

The key to my room stopped working after breakfast, and I was told to wait for the officer. When I asked where he was, the receptionist said he was still at home, though it was already 7 a.m. We wanted to work too, and there were no technicians on standby. The hot water wasn't working either. This is the most chaotic hotel. I do not recommend staying here.

The location is convenient near the city center. My room was nice, comfortable, and clean, and the AC was cool.

The AC in my room wouldn't cool. I was also disappointed by the security staff: they were rude when giving directions and didn't help when I wanted to cross the street. Please teach them some manners, because they're giving the hotel a bad name.
