We booked a private pool villa for a 10-day family holiday in Seminyak with my wife and our three young kids, hoping for a relaxing stay. Instead, it felt stressful. The place seemed unclean and poorly maintained, and at times unsafe. We complained to staff several times a day, but issues kept piling up. The towels arrived with obvious yellow stains every day, and replacements weren’t any better. For five of us, we often had only 1-2 usable towels. The bedsheets also had large yellow stains, which raised serious hygiene concerns. The kitchen was described as fully equipped, but it was missing basic utensils. Items we borrowed from the main kitchen near the lobby were often dirty, and staff took them away each night. On the first day, the pool’s underwater light came loose and floated with exposed wires. We kept the kids out of the pool that day because it was a major hazard. We also dealt with frequent toilet blockages, a loose shower head that fell off, broken cabinet doors, and housekeeping repeatedly turning off the AC, leaving the villa sweltering despite our requests. Staff entered the villa several times without knocking or announcing themselves. There were noticeable gaps at the bottom and sides of the bedroom sliding doors, so bugs, insects, and other small creatures got inside. That was especially unsettling with young children. After cleaning, an expensive item went missing and was never recovered. Staff were friendly but couldn’t resolve things effectively, and management didn’t step in. At this price for a family villa, I wouldn’t recommend it to families. We came for a relaxing holiday and got ongoing problems instead.

The villa’s pool looked inviting in the photos, but ours was murky and questionable, and we didn’t use it as much as we’d planned. WiFi was unreliable throughout, which made planning outings and staying connected frustrating. There were also lighting glitches. Staff eventually dealt with those, but they disrupted the vibe. Breakfast was basic and uninspiring, and the overall value felt poor for the premium price. There are better villa options in Seminyak for cleanliness, access, and luxury without these annoyances. We booked Agata Villas Seminyak expecting a luxurious private villa in the heart of Seminyak. Finding it made the stay harder from the start. It’s down a narrow, poorly lit alley that’s difficult to navigate, especially at night. Taxi drivers struggled to locate it, and walking back after dinner through the dark lane felt unsafe. It’s marketed as conveniently close to shops and the beach, but getting there is a tricky trek that undercuts the relaxing experience. Save your money and look elsewhere if you’re heading to Bali.

Staff were polite, though slow to bring extra towels or clean the pool. Breakfast was plain and repetitive for the price. With all that, it felt overpriced, and there are better Seminyak villas with cleaner facilities and more reliable service. I wouldn't return or recommend it for anyone looking for true luxury.

The villa was spotless and the breakfast was really good. The staff were warm and did everything they could to help us during our three nights there.
