Balissimo Suite Seminyak by Betterplace Apart-hotel

The pool was nice, and my loft-style room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony. Balissimo is set back from the main road, so nights were quiet. The downside is that some Grab drivers seemed reluctant to pick up guests inside, apparently because turning around in the alley could be difficult. One night heavy rain sent some water under the front door, though in my opinion that was an isolated incident. I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning.

The air conditioning noise made it impossible to rest. Both the indoor and outdoor units were loud, with constant vibration and rattling through the space, like trying to sleep in a generator. We planned to stay three days but left early because it was unbearable. The host ignored our concerns and made no effort to help or find a solution. Even after I explained my epilepsy is triggered by lack of sleep, there was no empathy or sense of responsibility. It was the worst communication I've had with a host, just denial, manipulation, and silence. We lost our money and had to move to another hotel. Other guests on review platforms have reported the same noise issue and the host's lack of response. We wish we'd checked more closely. The place may look nice in photos, but don't risk your health, time, or money. Avoid it.

The duplex units are the best part, with good-sized balconies. It's in a good location near Bintang supermarket, and could suit someone after a quieter place. The property is squeezed onto a small plot, though, with a small pool and not much greenery or space around it. Don't book through Agoda. Their customer service was the worst I've experienced on any platform in any sector. The photos marked “newly added” weren't recently taken, so the platform can't be trusted. Customer service was dishonest too. They cancelled my booking while I was travelling to the destination and then tried to avoid giving the correct refund. Agoda is totally corrupted by greed. Balissimo can be booked on better platforms.

Just a minute's walk from Bintang Supermarket, this gorgeous loft apartment was beautifully appointed with every amenity for a super comfortable stay. I'd 100% recommend it and would come back.
