For the same price, I’d choose this over a hostel dorm. It’s good for a budget stay, especially if you book online for a nice deal. You get the basics, free Wi-Fi, and you’re close to everything. There’s laundry next door and scooter rental on the main street. All good here!

I’ve been coming here whenever I visit Bali, for five years now, and I’ll come again. It’s a peaceful place, with very clean rooms and a lovely garden in the middle of the house. Everything is in Balinese style, and the breakfasts are big. Wi-Fi is available now. The owner is very kind and attentive, and the location works well before or after a flight, about a 15-minute drive from the airport.

Be careful booking this through agoda. I booked in the app and arrived right away, but the gate was locked and no one answered when I called the property. I waited about 45 minutes in the dorm building next door. When I returned, the gate was open, but there were no guests around. I met the owner, who said he knew nothing about agoda and barely had a smartphone. I wasn’t the only one, around 10-11 people had already come and couldn’t check in because he didn’t know about their bookings. I couldn’t get a refund either. In the end he offered to let me stay if I paid him another 100k, but I refused. Just be careful.
