Bemo Corner Guest House

I got a very low rate through bookinglokal, with the second night promo costing Rp 1,000, and the room was huge for the price. It was upstairs on the second floor, with AC and international TV channels, but there’s no lift, so hauling big bags up to the second or third floor would be tough. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The location in Kuta, near the public market, made a handy starting point for exploring. It was fine for sleeping, though there’s no breakfast, soap, or shampoo, and the towel wasn’t in proper condition. I stayed two nights and couldn’t find the guesthouse’s Wi-Fi network on my device, so the connection needs work.

Bring your own water, towels, and toilet paper, since none were provided. You get one key. The room was alright, and it worked for a couple of days while visiting Kuta from the village.

I hadn’t been to Bemo Corner Coffee Shop since COVID, so it was nice to find the friendly service and excellent menu still there. I tried the Chai Latte for the first time and would recommend it. It’s near Bemo Corner Money Changers. Give it a try, you’ll be impressed.

The room had AC, a fridge, and its own bathroom, and the location is good. Booking online costs a third of the cash price. One problem: staff smoked at reception, and the smoke drifted into my room. I asked them to stop, but they ignored me.
