Best Western Resort Kuta Hotel

The same breakfast was served on both days of my two-night stay, so there’s room to improve the buffet. The hotel feels a bit boutique because it’s small, even though it’s part of a chain. It’s in Kuta district, conveniently placed, though not near the beach. There are several convenience shops right across the street, handy if you like snacks. My room was generally clean, but the air conditioning was under par during the rainy season and could use an overhaul or replacement. I was satisfied with the hotel and service.

There’s a great pool with sun loungers, and two supermarkets directly opposite, plus plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is about an 11-minute drive from Denpasar airport. The room was a little dated, especially the bathroom, but the bed was comfortable and the price made it worthwhile. Breakfast was decent.

My room was never cleaned during the three nights I stayed, even after I went to Receptionist that morning to ask for housekeeping. I went out, came back, and everything was still a mess. The hotel is already very old and outdated, and the service was terrible too. I can’t think of anything good to say. I paid above 2 juta for three nights and got rubbish. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

I recommended this hotel to my daughter because when I stayed here 10 years ago, the hotel and service were impeccable. Her visit was a very different experience. Both rooms she booked had air conditioners that didn’t work, and one bathroom door wouldn’t close. They were moved to other rooms after complaining, but had to carry their own bags because there were no porters. The airport service and shuttle were no longer available either. Since she’d paid 100% in advance, all she could do was grin and bear it. She booked through Go Ibibo, where the hotel was rated 4.5. I advise everyone to avoid both the hotel and go Ibibo.
