For a longer stay, this is a good choice, especially if you’d rather stay in Seminyak than an expensive neighbourhood in Canggu. It’s within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, cafes, warungs, shops, market, spa, ATM, post office, and laundry. There’s even a pavement along the road. We got a super cheap rate before school season and will stay again for more than a week. The small kitchen and fridge are handy for making a simple breakfast. There’s hot water, a spacious bathroom, and a pool that’s a decent size. The downsides: the cleaner is never around, so you have to ask the guy to clean the room; the shower pressure is low; and the WiFi is really bad, basically nonexistent.

Double Six Beach is just a short walk away.

The location is impeccable, about 10 minutes from the beach, and the bed was very comfortable. The hygiene was questionable, though. Bath towels were worn and stained, as were the pillowcases. There was no hot water, the water heater leaked, and there were cobwebs and dust. Despite being advertised, there was no shower gel, shampoo, or bottled water. Kitchen utensils were dirty and outdated. There’s no reception, so you have to contact them on WhatsApp and sometimes wait several hours. It felt more like a motel than a hotel.
