HK Villa Bali

The location was just right, peaceful but still close to the action. We had a lovely six days here. The villas are tidy and clean, if a little outdated, but have everything you need. The staff were amazing, helpful, and kind.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Kadek, who couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was amazing, and they offered a free one-way trip anytime to anywhere local. We'll definitely stay here again. There was so much room: a huge pool, living area, bedroom, bathroom, shower, and spa. We rarely used the outdoor kitchen. One of the three air conditioners, the one in the bathroom, wasn't working, and they said it would be fixed. Most of the time we only ran the bedroom unit because the dividing walls didn't reach the racked ceiling.

We were extremely disappointed with HK Villa Bali and left after one night of what was meant to be a relaxing holiday. The cleanliness and customer service were poor. Before going shopping in Kuta, we told the cleaners and concierge that the room hadn't been properly cleaned after the previous guests. We stripped the bed ourselves and found dried blood, makeup, and more on it. They changed the bedding at first and said they'd fixed the problem, but when we returned the sheets were stained again. Underneath, the mattress protector was filthy. When we called the concierge, they blamed the cleaners instead of taking responsibility. I pointed out the dirty protector, and the response was, “It's doing its job.” I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. Later, the concierge cut off our power and water, leaving us without basic utilities. That was shocking and unacceptable, and made an already stressful stay much worse. It was especially distressing because this was our first time in a foreign country, and we had hoped for a special, happy trip. I'm requesting a refund for the poor service. I absolutely wouldn't recommend the villa, and I hope nobody else has to go through this.

We came here worn out and it was just the quiet place we needed to slow down. I only wish we’d booked more than two nights. Each villa has its own pool, and you can step straight into it from anywhere in the villa, which is such a treat. The staff were lovely and attentive, and breakfast, coffee, tea, and fruit were all delicious. There’s plenty of drinking water and everything you need. The setting by the river is beautiful, in a gorgeous neighbourhood. About the linens people mention: they’re old, not dirty. Leaves do fall into the pools from the trees, but they’re cleaned twice a day and have filters like any other pool.
