The peaceful setting at Jeri Homestay made it easy to feel comfortable and at ease. I had a wonderful stay, and the hosts were kind, welcoming, and warm-hearted. I was traveling solo and got sick during my visit; they promptly looked after me and made sure I had what I needed. I'm truly grateful for that kindness and won't forget their support. I'd choose Jeri Homestay again anytime and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

There were ants all over the bed. The AC was awful. After nearly two hours in the room, I asked to switch, since there were other rooms, but he said no. It was stay there or come down and take my cash back. I was surprised. When I left, I asked if I could wait in the kitchen for ten minutes to get a taxi. He stared angrily at me the whole time. He was the worst homestay owner I've ever seen in INDONESIA. He was smoking and playing cards with the guys in the alley. His wife was nice to us, though I'm guessing she was shy about saying goodbye.
The bathroom water smells strange, and they don't provide soap. The toilet bidet is unique. Still, I disagree completely with the negative reviews and wanted to share my own experience. My room was clean and cheap, around 150k, with AC. There's a kitchen with all the equipment for cooking, plus free tea and coffee.
We booked on Agoda because the photos made the place look clean, well presented, and good value. Once there, it felt like a scam. The room was grim, with stained linens and no TV like in the photos, though those weren't the main issue. The bathroom was disgusting and smelled unbearable, with huge gaps to the outside and wires hanging from the walls. An awful place, I wouldn't let my dog sleep there. We asked to change rooms, but were told, “sleep in there tonight and we might be able to move tomorrow.” We left about an hour after arriving and found proper accommodation down the road.
The location near the center, the pool, and the beds, which weren't too bad, were the only good things for me. The place is old and needs real repairs, nothing like the pictures. Breakfast was included online, but there wasn't any. The rusty, old equipment seemed about to break; the bathroom door had no handle, and there was no sink. My shower didn't work. Instead of offering me another room, they let me use that shower and then sent me back to mine. They should fix old things before a customer finds out they're broken.
