The superior rooms are pleasant and open easily onto the swimming pool. I’d avoid the standard rooms, though. It’s good value if you get a discount, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help. Free coffee and tea are available in the lounge. The Internet was surprisingly fast and stable compared with other nearby places, with no trouble streaming Netflix.

Room 208 was dusty and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned or prepared for a guest. The sheets had a strange smell, the shower pipe smelled odd too, and there was only one electrical plug. The AC was fine, as was the hot water. The TV worked, and there was tea and coffee at reception 24H. The main problem was the BED BUGS. At first I thought there were only a few, but when I went to sleep I got itchy and saw them crawling on my clothes. I killed them with tissues and asked for a cleaner room at 2 AM. Luckily another room was free, so I moved to 206 and slept there for a couple of hours. The staff were nice and helpful, but the room made me wonder whether I should really spend a night there.

The hostel is in a good location, and the pool is nice, with comfortable sun loungers. Without the bad smells, weak air conditioning, unhelpful response, and bed bug problem, it could be a nice place to stay. Even the sofa in reception was infested. We had a private twin room for 3 nights. The staff were friendly when we arrived, but very strict about check-in time. The room smelled awful, and the air con was far from the bed and too weak to cool it, so it stayed hot. On the last full day I woke up covered in bites. I’d thought they were mosquitoes because the heat made it impossible to sleep with a sheet, but that night we saw bed bugs all over the beds. Reception didn’t seem shocked when we told them, and nobody apologized. We were given a key to another room, but it had the same awful smell and stained sheets. We’d seen mattresses left outside the whole time, so it became clear there was a serious bed bug problem. It’s awful they’re still taking bookings and knowingly putting people in rooms with bed bugs. We got a refund for that night, but were told we could wait for our bus in reception in the morning, with no sleeping since we’d been refunded. That seemed unreasonable after spending the last two hours debugging our clothes and bags.

The service was good, but my bed was covered in bed bugs, including some bigger ones. We were in a dorm near the lobby, and it was really noisy outside because the receptionist played music so loudly. No hot shower either, which was a minus.
