Kemuning Kuta Hotel by Zen Rooms

The staff were friendly, though one person had trouble communicating. The hotel is close to markets and restaurants, and it was fine for what we paid. There was no kettle, so we had to ask for hot water. The sockets were Indonesian style only, so bring your own converter.

A quiet hotel in central Kuta, with tasty breakfast and a clean, new feel. The room was very small, but the low price makes that hard to complain about. Good value for the money.

The room was medium-sized, with a better-than-average bed and hot water. We got two complimentary bottles of water each day. Breakfast had to be chosen from a menu. The location suited me, even though it’s a little tucked away from the street, where there are lots of shops. The staff were kind, cheerful and helpful.

The local markets are only about three minutes away, and the beach takes roughly ten minutes on foot. There’s one thing that made us uneasy: the place seems open around the clock, so anyone could come inside, even though the rooms themselves lock with keys. Aside from that, we had a good stay and I’d recommend it.
