It’s budget accommodation right in the middle of the Kuta Beach scene, and the staff provide excellent service. Kuta Social Club, on the rooftop of Mamaka, is just a short walk away and makes a great spot to watch the sunset.

I remember staying here 20 years ago. It was a lovely little budget place, really close to the beach and only a short walk from the shops. The restaurant was consistently delicious, clean and cheap, and the staff were friendly. I’d highly recommend it to budget travelers and backpackers.

A small, friendly place just off a quiet lane, with the beach nearby. The rooms are basic but fairly large, and there’s a nice courtyard. For 85k idr you get cold water, a fan and a small breakfast.

One plus is the new swimming pool, and it’s among the cheaper places near Kuta Beach. But there are plenty of maintenance problems: the hot water didn’t work, the rooms weren’t clean and the bathroom was too dirty to use. Breakfast was poor and the service wasn’t friendly. The owners don’t seem to care about this hotel. I’d choose nearby Lusa hotel instead, for a similar price.

The host was attentive, and Kuta beach is about a five-minute walk away. There are plenty of warungs, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets nearby. The bungalows have private bathrooms and little terraces looking onto a beautiful, peaceful garden.
