The price was good and the location worked well. Cleanliness was okay, though not great. What made the stay difficult was the noise: the windows had gaps of about 2 cm, and it really affected my sleep.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and breakfast was included. They made it when I arrived, so it was fresh and somewhat tasty. That breakfast is the only reason I'd give this place 2 stars, because the rest of the stay was disappointing. There were ants almost everywhere when I checked in, though luckily not on the bed. The sheets had stains, and the replacements did too. The bathroom seemed clean, but the shower glass and shower itself showed they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in quite a while. The shower lighting was also so poor that it was too dark. I can put up with the ants, but the shower really let the place down. I hope they improve.

The staff were the one positive thing for us. Our room was a decent size, but cleanliness was a serious problem throughout. The shower and toilet weren't clean, the taps at the basin and shower were very dirty, and the white towels looked brown and discoloured. The kettle had a lot of filth at the bottom. The toilet leaked, so staff put a towel underneath it. The liquid soap dispenser was broken, and the room was not cleaned unless we asked. There was no bar fridge or phone in the room. Ants kept appearing, and mosquitoes meant we had to ask for spray. Three lights in our room didn't work. We reported it, but nothing was done. This place might have rated highly when it was new, but its standard has slipped over the past few years. Cleanliness should be a priority for any accommodation, and this place falls short.

The rooms and pool are really cute, and the standard feels high for such a cheap price. Breakfast is included, though it's the usual Indonesian fried rice and egg, which won't suit everyone's taste. There's no choice, and sometimes they serve toast instead. There's no menu. I'd still highly recommend it.
