Legian Paradiso Hotel

The staff were fantastic, friendly, and always willing to go out of their way to help. When I had room problems they couldn’t fix, they moved all my bags to another room in the pouring rain. The location suited me, and the garden, grounds, and pool are lovely. The rooms are very old and could use renovation. I also had laundry done through the hotel. It cost a little more than using a place on the street, but the convenience was great. A good budget-friendly hotel.

The buffet breakfast was amazing, and the staff were all great. Our room had a really comfortable bed and was huge compared with some newer places. It’s an older hotel, but definitely worth staying at, and very family friendly ☺️

There were eight of us and we used the pool often, but every time we went, the hotel had run out of pool towels. We weren’t allowed to use the towels from our rooms, so we ended up buying some. The bigger problem was access for the person in our group who uses a wheelchair. We were told there was an accessible room, but the room offered had three steps. Staff brought a makeshift ramp, but it was so steep that this guest, who is an incomplete quadriplegic, still couldn’t get in or out without help. They then moved him to a room with two steps, which didn’t solve it. He couldn’t use the shower either, so we had to use the handheld shower in the middle of the floor. This hotel was recommended to us, but I’d never go back or recommend it.

For about ₱1,300 (~US$23) a night, I got the feel of a full Bali resort without paying resort-level rates. Legain Paradiso Hotel has a large, peaceful property, lush gardens, and traditional Balinese architecture, yet it’s close enough to popular Bali spots. It was quiet at night, too. The rooms were attractive, clean, and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast had Indonesian and international options, fresh fruit, and good coffee. Staff were warm and went out of their way to help. For the price, it felt like a real bargain. If you want an upscale, Bali-themed resort atmosphere at a lower rate, this place stands out. Highly recommended.
