Lusa Hotel

It’s quiet and relaxing, with clean rooms and a very clean pool. The staff are fantastic, and the location is great. Rooms along the pool are the best. Breakfast is basic, but if you bring them bacon they’ll cook it for you. Lunch is cheap and tasty. There’s also a massage lady on site who’s amazing, and it’s only $10 for an hour. A great option if you’re on a budget.

We stayed in room# 101 in early May and July 2023, and loved the hotel both times. It’s reasonably priced, very quiet at night, and close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and Beachwalk mall. The room and bathroom were spacious, the AC worked well, and we had a kettle with tea and coffee, a fridge, safe, wardrobe, and power outlets on both sides of the bed. On our second visit, they’d fixed the toilet seat and added a shower curtain, so the floor didn’t get wet anymore. The pool was very clean, and we enjoyed doing laps. Staff were pleasant and polite. We’ll definitely stay again.

The villa rooms I stay in are larger than most and have a fridge, TV, and air conditioning. The property is close to the beach, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Lush gardens and the pool area make it a relaxing spot to unwind. The staff are fantastic.

The balcony was a nice spot for a late game of cards, and the room was a decent size. Breakfast was tasty, especially the banana pancakes, and the staff were polite and helpful. It’s only a two-minute walk to the beach, with nice, inexpensive restaurants along the way. There were two downsides. The room had no air-conditioning, which may matter more to some people than others. Also, with our seven-hour jet lag, we fell asleep in the late afternoon and woke around midnight to a lot of street noise. That probably wouldn’t be a problem if your sleep schedule matched the local one.
