The only things I can praise are the location near Kuta beach and the buffet breakfast, which had pork bacon but limited choices. The rooms were badly dated, and everything looks like it needs major renovation. I booked just one night, thankfully, then moved to a proper hotel. If you only want convenience and supposedly affordable rates, you might book here. For a proper room and hotel, look elsewhere. Would I come back? Definitely not.

The garden is spacious, the room was clean, and the service was very good, especially from my friend Sudarsana. I was very comfortable here and felt at home.

We had a great stay, thanks to the wonderful customer service. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they gave us a late checkout at no charge. Thank you so much, team.

Avoid this place unless you’re fine with disgusting rooms and poor service. We’d booked a week, arriving late after a flight from Europe, but as soon as we saw the room we went straight to reception and asked for our money back. They said there was no refund policy, even though I’d only just booked and paid. They promised a different room the next day, but it was already so late that we stayed the night. The bed was awful, and after the long flight I woke with a very painful back. Surprisingly, breakfast was okay. We never got the promised new room, though, and left less than a day after arriving. At checkout they apologized several times and said we could ask for some money back. We made the request, but it has been cancelled twice. This is the worst place I’ve stayed on this planet. We found a much better hotel just up the road. Do your research before going to Kuta, and avoid this hotel.

The staff were really friendly, and security kept guests safe. The hotel is comfortable, and it’s a nice place to holiday if you want easy access to the beach and plenty of 24-hour mini markets nearby. Come to the Melasti Resto Spa Hotel.
