Neptune Bungalows & Coffee Shop

The staff were nice and the location was good, but the place felt very austere. We found bed bugs in our room and had to leave. The wooden bungalows also need maintenance, and the price feels too high for what’s offered, especially compared with the Google and Booking scores. I wonder if those ratings are affected because guests who leave, as we did, have their booking cancelled and can no longer rate the place. I’ve never had to run away from somewhere before, and I’d recommend avoiding it.

We asked for a refund right away, and they granted it without questions. That may mean this has happened before. If the rooms were cleaned properly and the property looked after, I think this could be a great place to stay. We’d booked the cheaper room expecting it might be a little run down, but it was far dirtier and more neglected than we expected. There was a nice view, but a huge wasp nest under the terrace roof meant we couldn’t sit outside. We asked to move to a more expensive room. It was covered in dust, dirt and hair on the floor and bed, with little brown-red bugs in the bedding. Ants were crawling across the floor and all over the bed. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I’d stay clear. It seems to have the basics for a nice place, yet it’s clearly neglected and dirty.

The Mountain View room is worth considering. It’s a little farther from the main road and has a great view. One morning I ate breakfast with monkeys nearby, though they kept their distance. Restaurants and shops are easy to reach from this convenient location. I really enjoyed my stay at Yoki’s bungalows. Everyone was kind, attentive and helpful with arranging things, and they sorted out any problems quickly. Lovely place!

Agung at reception was so nice and took care of everything, including our luggage and transport. We also got free coffee, water and other drinks every day, and breakfast was brought to our terrace each morning. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the outdoor bathroom was clean too. Having our own private pool was amazing. We had a great stay, thank you!
