Palm Beach Hotel Bali

The beach is only a couple of minutes away, with plenty of seaside bars and warungs close enough to walk to. Malls and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk, and the airport is around 10 minutes away. I didn't hear any aircraft noise. It's an older hotel, but still has a lot of appeal. The rooms were clean, the staff were always glad to help, and the hot buffet breakfast by the pool was nice.

I’d never given a place one star before, but management’s lack of responsibility here was appalling. The hotel policy says dogs are allowed, yet they refused to check me in when I arrived with mine. I spent an hour trying to sort it out at reception. They offered no solution or support, and told me to find another hotel, arrange it myself, and contact Agoda to cancel a non-refundable booking on the same day. They did nothing to help with transport either. I had to book somewhere else late that evening and cover the extra costs myself. Completely unacceptable.

A great place to land and get settled after your flight. I’d especially recommend it if you’re hosting a wedding and need somewhere for guests to gather. The chef is glorious, and babi guling is available by special order.

The internet kept dropping, and the connection was so weak we went to another hotel to check in for our flights. I could barely watch a short on YouTube, and booking sites warned that our signal was unstable. The front desk insisted the internet was fine and that we were wrong. We chose not to eat at the restaurant. The pool was okay. The front desk wasn't much help with other things either. They said there was no massage available, though the spa had space. They also wouldn't accept ATM cash because they said it was “too wrinkled.” A maintenance worker needed two trips to get the TV controller batteries sorted. One night was okay. There's no shuttle, and a taxi to the airport costs about 120,000.
