An hour before check-in, after the booking had been confirmed and partly paid, the owner messaged to say there was no room because everything was booked. Looking through the comments here, it seems this has happened many times. This place feels unreliable, and you could be left without anywhere to stay at the last minute.

The pool is clean and you can swim, and there’s a small kitchen in the courtyard. Staff are consistently helpful, and the value for the money is the best I found here. The Homestay is cute and centrally located, a good enough base if you’ll be out most of the day.

Pudak Sari Homestay was under a 30-minute walk from the airport, and there were lots of shops and places to eat nearby. The price was just right, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. The large bed was comfortable, the wifi signal was strong, and the room had towels, drinking water, hot shower water, soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. The room did smell moldy, but I didn’t mind. I’d stay again if I get the chance.

We arrived at the location Booking had marked at 7:30 pm, then spent over 50 minutes trying to find the hotel because the location on the booking was totally wrong. We’d paid in advance, but the automatic service didn’t answer our questions or give enough information. At the last minute they messaged to say our reservation had been cancelled, leaving us with a major loss and no place to stay that night. I’m still waiting for the accommodation to respond with a solution. Be very careful booking this hotel through Booking.
