RedDoorz near Kuta Beach

The staff were all lovely and attentive, and there were plenty of drink, snack, and meal options to order. You could relax downstairs with a drink or play pool. I loved the location, close to the beach and surrounded by great bars, restaurants, warungs, and convenience stores. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean the balcony room was, especially as we booked through a competitively priced flight and hotel deal. The glass sliding door didn't shut all the way, but it wasn't a big deal. There was cold filtered water on each floor to refill bottles. Breakfast was basic Indonesian style, with an egg station, but filling enough. The rooftop pool had great views. It wasn't very deep, but the water was still nice and cool. I'm coming back for five nights in May ☺️

Restaurant staff were the bright spot. They went out of their way to accommodate food allergies. The hotel itself looked much more run-down than its website photos suggested. After arriving late, we went through five rooms. The first was flooded after the torrential rain. The second smelled of mold, the third had two single beds and reeked of smoke, and the fourth and fifth had an overpowering perfume smell, apparently covering mold. We took the fifth because it seemed unlikely to get any better. We stayed one night, but road noise kept us from sleeping well. The smell left me with a terrible sore throat that lasted four days. We checked out that morning and moved to a much nicer hotel, giving up the rest of our prepaid stay. No regrets.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the air conditioning worked great. There’s a lovely restaurant and pool upstairs, too. Christian, the manager, was especially welcoming and gave excellent service. It’s right by the beach, which made the location really convenient. For the price, the hotel is very fair. It’s not a five-star resort, but it’s very hospitable for what you pay. I’d definitely come back on my next Bali stay.

Most rooms have balconies, and some have ocean views that make mornings feel special. The location puts you across from Kuta Beach, with easy access to the sand, surf, and sunsets. Beachwalk Mall, restaurants, bars, and shops are all within walking distance, so it’s easy to enjoy the lively part of Bali without needing transport for every outing. Kuta Beach Hotel offers good value for its location, facilities, and service, and suits couples, families, or solo travelers looking for comfort and convenience by the beach.
