The gym really isn't equipped for a proper workout. It's set up for just one person at a time, with only one treadmill and no barbells, EZ-bar, weight plates, or cable machines. Other hotels have at least two or three cardio machines. My family and I stayed at the Bali Garden Beach Resort from February 15th, 2026 to February 26th, 2026. The cleaning was thorough and satisfactory every time, we got more coffee and goodies than usual, and the cleaning staff were always friendly. We asked reception and wait staff politely three times for vegan food. They assured us it wouldn't be a problem, but the information never got passed along. We heard excuses, like the staff member having the next day off. We felt it was reasonable to ask them to pass the information on, but nothing happened until we complained explicitly. Even then it took a long time, and we didn't get vegan food until the fourth day.

Bars, restaurants and markets are all really close by, which made the location great. The pool was amazing, with a swim-up bar, and everything felt clean and relaxing. The spa massage was wonderful, and breakfast was 100% amazing. Would absolutely recommend.

The restaurants along the main road work for all kinds of evenings, from a relaxed meal to more formal dining or dancing. My favorite is the Boardwalk Restaurant, and the breakfast buffet is divine. The staff, from Craig the Manager to everyone on the floor, make you feel welcome and go out of their way to help. We’ve returned many times, and the happy, long-serving team still gives excellent service. Bali Garden feels like a home away from home, and after trying lots of places in Bali, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Every visit has been spectacular. Thanks for the memories, Bali Garden Family. We’ll be back!

The cooking class with chef Aris was a real highlight of my Bali holiday. He’s knowledgeable, welcoming and super friendly. I’ve done two classes with him, with Dewi and Mila assisting, and I’ll definitely come back for another. The hotel and restaurant are easy to recommend too, with friendly staff and excellent food.

I picked this hotel because it was advertised as beachfront, but the beach has been under excavation for two years, so there’s no beach access. Large machinery sometimes keeps working past midnight, which is noisy. When I raised the issue, the response was basically that it was too bad. The traditional Balinese style, lovely gardens, three pools, great staff and excellent restaurant food are all positives, and the central town location is convenient. Still, the beachfront advertising is misleading. Buyer beware.
