Samana Villas

We spent two weeks in Villa 7 as a family of three and had a wonderful time in Bali. The villa gave us room to spread out, with three of us able to have our own space and still meet up in the shared areas. The pool was large and a lovely temperature, the gardens were beautiful, and the enclosed living and kitchen space was a real plus. The bedrooms were spacious with very cold air conditioning. We also liked the peaceful spot, just a short walk from Jalan Legian, and the resident geckos. Sanduka, the black-and-white cat with a green collar, came by for food most nights. Staff were quick to help with even small requests. The bathrooms felt plain and sterile, and there was mould. We also found it annoying to need a key every time we locked or unlocked the front door. Those were minor issues, though, and didn’t spoil our stay. We’d definitely return to Samana.

Astika and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. The villa was spacious, spotless and completely private, with a lovely sized pool. It’s close to the main shops and restaurants, too. We enjoyed our seven nights so much that we’ve booked another stay with friends for January.

We’d never taken a family holiday in Bali before, and Flight Centre recommended Samana Villas. We were so glad we went with it. We loved the private villa from the moment we arrived, and Astika welcomed us with drinks and showed us around. The staff were always happy to answer questions or help with requests, which made the trip easy and enjoyable. Thanks to everyone at Samana, we miss you already and will definitely book again next time.

The staff keep Villa 7 tidy and are always there with a warm Bali smile. It’s a peaceful place to come back to, even though cafés are close by and the back entrance puts Jalan Legian, its restaurants and shopping just a short walk away. Ruby’s is our favourite cafe nearby. This was our third visit, and we’ve stayed in Villa 7 every time. It feels like a little sanctuary, with three separate bedrooms and ensuites, an enclosed living area with kitchen, dining space and TV, and a gorgeous private pool. We’re already looking forward to returning.
