Samsara Inn

The rooms were spotless, and the staff were so nice and eager to help. It’s great value for money, with plenty of local food nearby and a fantastic location. The restaurant straight across from the hotel is delicious. I had a great one-night stay and would happily come back.

Everything was immaculately clean, and the pool area and shared sitting space were great. The rooms are small but excellent value at under 50 a night, and the air conditioning is icy cold. There’s a warung across the lane. It can be a bit noisy at night. The blind is awkward: leave it up and people walking by can see in, shut it and there’s no view. I’d stay again for a night or two, but not for longer.

The pool is fantastic, and the room was spotless, with a smart TV, a great bed and a good-sized bathroom. I’m one of four weeks into my stay at Samsara, and it really feels like a hidden gem. July and Nida are so friendly and helpful that they make you feel at home. I even wondered what planet they came from. The price for what you get is unbelievable. I’m very happy here and have already booked for next time. Thanks so much, Samsara.

We spent most of our month in Bali at the Samsara Inn, and the value is hard to beat, about AUD 25 a night. The hotel is tucked into a quiet side street, close to shops, chemists, takeaway places and nightlife, but the noise from that scene doesn’t reach the inn. There are plenty of local food stalls a minute away, too. Samsara also owns the warung across the road, where the food is fantastic. It’s cooked fresh, so allow a little waiting time, and they can bring your meal to the poolside dining area. Our room was spacious for the price, clean and kept up daily. The white sheets, small fridge, plenty of TV channels, and strong air conditioning and fan all worked well. Australian power outlets are installed alongside the Indonesian ones. The rooms face a large central pool, and morning sunlight gives the place a fresh feel. Our one small gripe was the lack of a bidet, but it really wasn’t a big deal. The staff were the friendliest we’ve had in Bali, always respectful and ready to help. Juli was especially lovely and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. This place is a real gem and excellent value.
