Staying with a local family in Bali gave me a different experience. They showed me their culture and how to play Balinese traditional instruments, and even taught me to surf for free at Kuta beach using their surfboards. The room was clean, the WiFi worked well, and the price was affordable. Friendly family and tasty breakfast too. Highly recommended!

BEDBUGS EVERYWHERE. The place was dirty, and the owner wasn't friendly. She was impolite in what felt like a racist way, though she was friendly to aaaalll the BULE???? She rudely took the AC remote because she was worried I might use the AC. Just ridiculous. One of the worst.

The room wasn't clean, and the air conditioning didn't work very well. WiFi was okay, and it's close to a busy street with everything you need and to the beach. Still, a good deal overall.
