The Rhadana Kuta Bali

I’d probably only stay here again as a base for flights to places like Labuan Bajo, East Java, or Singapore. The airport is close, the price is low, Wi-Fi is strong, and the pool is nice. Crossing the street, though, is almost impossible with the traffic and motorbikes going all the time. I was here with my partner for 10 days during our Bali trip. The bathroom and counter space were large, breakfast was available, and the price was good value. But the hotel felt dated, dingy, and dusty, with small, oddly themed rooms. There were no hand towels or face cloths, just two body towels. Housekeeping didn’t replace toiletries or toilet paper, so we had to ask reception for TP. The bathroom fan sometimes smelled badly of mildew and motor fumes. Shower temperature kept changing, and there was no bottled water or other drinks on site or in the room. The thin walls made for loud nights. On the first few nights, some young local guests talked loudly after midnight, slammed doors, called each other on the hotel phones, and ran around. They stood right outside our door for some reason. I begged them to quiet down because we were exhausted after traveling for over 24 hours, and they laughed in my face. The windows didn’t close properly, so outside noise and cigarette smoke came through, and we even found a small lizard in our room. Breakfast was okay, but repetitive, with local food. Tourism help was limited: there were no suggestions or assistance with trips, just an offer of a private driver. In my opinion, it didn’t have the amenities of a 3-star hotel.

A lovely pool and a convenient place for one night just after arriving at the airport or before a flight. They serve a Balinese-style buffet breakfast, though Western choices are limited.

I spent almost two weeks here and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and nice, the pool was a welcome extra, and breakfast was good. Every staff member was polite, friendly, and professional. The hotel’s lucky to have such a hardworking team.

I had to switch rooms three times during check-in. In the first room there was feces on the sink tap, and again in the toilet bowl. The front desk and housekeeping staff seemed not to care at all.
