The villa was clean, comfortable, and ready for us, with the air conditioning already running. The Sunset Beach in pool area near the villas also helps keep things lively. I came back this year after seeing the property available on booking apps, having stayed here many times before the pandemic. It used to be one of the best resort-style stays in Seminyak, an oldie but a goodie. Only the villa section is operating right now; the hotel wing is still closed for renovations. The empty lobby was a little spooky at first, but security contacted the staff and someone arrived to welcome us after about ten minutes. One staff member handled check-in, bell service, and housekeeping. Even with operations so limited, he was friendly, helpful, and reassuring. I really hope the hotel recovers and fully reopens soon. I've always loved this place.

Dea made a lasting impression on me. He was kind, professional, helpful, and quick to respond. Everyone at The Royal Beach Seminyak was warm and attentive, and clearly cared about my comfort. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, in a great spot for relaxing and enjoying Bali. I had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the hospitality. Thanks again for such a memorable experience. I hope to return.

The villas are comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with high ceilings, large rooms, and very comfortable beds. We had a pool problem that couldn't be fixed easily, so they promptly moved us to another villa. Breakfast was lovely, and the team were welcoming and attentive. There's no espresso coffee at the hotel, but the adjoining beach club makes a good one. Sipping it while watching the waves is a lovely way to start the day. The beachside location in Seminyak is hard to beat for the price. The villas have an old-style Balinese feel, and the beach club is a bonus. Its music stops promptly at 10 pm, so we slept well. The Royal Beach Seminyak is an old gem that still shines. Renovations are underway and only the villas are open, so it may not suit anyone wanting a full hotel experience. If you're after a villa right on the beach, though, it's great value.

The location is great, opening straight onto Sunset Beach beach club, but the noise at night is a problem. The resort feels very dated, with half the property under construction. There aren't many staff, though the ones we met were lovely. Nobody offered help with a taxi or local tips. The villa doors facing the beachfront were unlocked, while the villa itself was locked, which made safety feel a bit risky. There were lots of ants in the villa and room. Breakfast isn't worth bothering with: it's not a buffet and is very basic. I'd look at local cafes instead.

If you like old-school Bali, this is the place. The pools overlooking the beach are fantastic, and I remember the staff giving good service. It's great for families too. The place is going through some renovations now, but it remains a great spot for anyone wanting to be on the quieter beach end of the street while still being in the middle of Seminyak.
