Villa Cologne - 6 BDR Villa, 2 Private Pools & Huge Garden, Walk to the Beach

We had 13 adults in our family group, and Villa Cologne gave us plenty of room with its seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. There were two pools, lots of outdoor spots to spread out, and enough kitchen gear for meals, including a fridge freezer and water tower. It was easy to walk to the main area for food and shopping, and there’s a nice coffee shop nearby, as well as a laundromat. The place was clean and nicely presented. Housekeeping and Jess, who organized our activities, were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. We could eat and have cocktails together, then relax in separate spaces. Honestly, I can’t fault the villa. Book it, you won’t be disappointed.

The garden and pool were such a relaxing spot, and the villa felt private throughout. It’s near everything but still peaceful. The place was beautiful, spotless, and spacious, and the staff were kind and helpful whenever we needed them without getting in our way. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return.

We had booked two nights at Villa Cologne, then added a third because we were so happy there. We were 14 people from three families and had the whole villa, which was very comfortable and reasonably priced. It has seven large or extra-large rooms, five washrooms, a full kitchen, and two private pools. The high walls, about 10 feet, gave us complete privacy, and the layout and landscaping were beautiful. Service was welcoming and very accommodating. Shops and other amenities are nearby, and Bali’s nightlife is less than a 10-minute drive away. We’re travelling through Malaysia and Indonesia for a month, and this has been the best place we’ve stayed so far. If I return to Bali, this will probably be the only place I book.

The villa needs serious maintenance. We had a long list of problems that made the stay frustrating and uncomfortable, even though the staff responded quickly and tried to help. The water stopped completely for several hours one morning, so we couldn’t shower or use the toilets. The shower had no hot water, the toilet kept giving us trouble, and a persistent bad smell came from the bathroom. The fridge either failed to cool or froze our food and drinks, so we couldn’t store things safely. The air conditioning stopped working several times and left the rooms too warm. In the middle bathroom, a cupboard door kept falling off, and the shower head sprayed water from the top in every direction. It was disappointing to run into so many faults during what was supposed to be a luxury stay. I wouldn’t recommend the property until substantial repairs are made.
