The location was very good, with plenty of better villas nearby, but I wouldn’t book this place unless you’re getting the newly renovated villa. Our room was dismal and very old. There was nowhere to plug in our devices, no hangers, and not even a soap dish. My single bed was smallish and wobbly, rocking whenever I turned over. The kitchen was dark and scary, and the water dispenser spout was brown and disgusting, so we bought bottled water. My friend, who paid for the villa, was shocked when we first arrived. It was her first time in Bali, and the villa was nothing like she expected.

We had 17 of us in the royal villa, nine adults and eight kids, and there was plenty of space. The kids loved playing footy in the yard, and the pool was a great size. The staff were so helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Dina and Linda even arranged for a chef to come in at short notice one night with Babi guling. We could have used more towels, and some rooms were a little tired, but the beds were comfortable and everything worked. For the price, it’s a great villa in a great location, and we’d stay again. We also had four more people in the two-bedroom deluxe villa right next door, which was super handy for a big group. Great restaurants are within walking distance too.

Linda made a huge difference to our trip. She looked after us so well and was quick to sort out whatever we needed. We could order food, beer, currency, and bikes through her without lifting a finger, at prices comparable to what we’d have paid going out ourselves. She also arranged tours and vehicles, sometimes cheaper than the online rates. There were 20 of us friends meeting up after a long time, and Villa 8 was perfect. We booked the 6br royal, 2br deluxe, and 2br super deluxe villas, though we spent most of our time in the huge 6br. The pool was clean and good, and the rooms were a comfortable size. I don’t know why people say they’re dated, they weren’t! They were cozy and comfortable, the aircon worked well all the time, and the rooms and beds were thoroughly cleaned every day. Thanks, Linda, for making our stay at the Villas so great. We’d love to stay there again if we get the chance.

The outdoor shower was a highlight, and the whole place felt so relaxing. Ketut, Ilu, and Ilu cooked breakfast for us and kept the villa clean, while the groundskeepers looked after the yard and pool every day. Everyone on the team was so lovely. We loved our stay at Villa 8 and can't wait to come back, hopefully soon.

Linda and the Villa team were fantastic, and we had a lovely time in the Royal Villa and super deluxe villas at Villa Eight. We're already looking forward to coming back.
