After booking a package of four lessons over eight days, I decided to increase it to seven. The first three sessions were in whitewater, and the fourth moved to the line-up. Each lesson came with a video review, plus a theory session before the whitewater stage, your first time entering the ocean, and another before progressing to the line-up. It was my first time in Bali, and I came to try surfing. Choosing this school gave me a truly top-level, unique experience. Usually there were three instructors in the ocean, and they all understood Russian. Two were locals, and one was a native Russian speaker.

I took seven lessons and wished I'd signed up for even more. I could see my progress each time, and the instructors gave each student individual feedback and explained their mistakes. The friendly staff also took lots of photos during the lessons, so I came away with some amazing shots. Windy Sun is a great surf school. They take safety and service seriously, and the instructors were all amazing. I recommend them to everyone. They have instructors who speak English and Russian.

They group people by skill level, which gives each student a good amount of challenge and support. The instructors are friendly and polite, and pay close attention to everyone. The theory lessons help you understand surfing, and their feedback on mistakes is constructive and useful for improving quickly. A great place to learn to surf.

A good place to learn surfing in Kuta. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it's an easy walk to Bali's famous white sand Kuta Beach. Have fun, guys!

I was new to surfing but felt completely safe, and I made good progress during the lesson. It starts with a quick briefing in the classroom, then you head out to the waves. They sent me a package of videos afterward too. When I arrived, they gave me a rash vest, leggings, a towel, and a locker key. They also have strong sunscreen you can use. I can't recommend this surf school enough.
