Yuli's Homestay

The people here are what make Yuli's special. From our drivers to Yuli and Zul and everyone on the team, we were treated with real Lombok warmth and kindness. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and we felt at home. It’s a locally run homestay that feels like a beautiful hotel, and we didn’t want to leave. We’ll likely return and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Kuta Lombok. Breakfast was tasty, had good choices and generous portions. We also liked the shared kitchen, with a fridge, tea, coffee and drinking water. The rooms and pools were clean, and the whole complex is well cared for. The room had good air conditioning, comfortable beds and reasonable soundproofing. Wi-Fi worked fine except during one power cut in our eight-day stay. Power cuts aren’t uncommon in Lombok. The scooter I hired was in good condition and reasonably priced for the area. Reception had plenty of helmets to choose from. Please wear one, even if you’re an experienced rider. I’d seen comments about insects before booking. There are ants and other bugs in a tropical country, even if they’re less visible in expensive hotels. We didn’t find any in our room or bathroom, but I’m sure the staff would have dealt with them. I spotted a couple of geckos in our room on checkout day. I like lizards, so it didn’t bother me, and they’re common in Indonesia and other hot countries. The room showers aren’t heated, but there are shared heated showers. I didn’t use them because our room shower felt refreshing and usually wasn’t that cold. My partner tried the heated one and said it was clean and very warm. This is an older place with some wear and tear, but nothing unpleasant or off-putting. I found it very clean. Thanks to all the staff and owners for making us feel welcome in Lombok.

The rooms at Yuli’s Homestay are really nice, with plenty of space in all the beds. It’s a great choice if you want to stay comfortably in central Kuta. The staff are super friendly and helpful with activities or transport. Highly recommend it!

We stayed four nights in September 2025 and loved it. There are 31 rooms, neat gardens, three swimming pools and a decent breakfast included. Yule introduced herself to all the guests, and the staff were lovely. There’s also a communal room with fridges and basic cooking facilities. It’s just a one-minute walk to the main street. I’d highly recommend the place.

The rooms were comfortable and cool, and the service and staff were lovely. It’s in a quiet area but very well located. Water refills and laundry service were great to have.
