Green Bowl Bali Homestay

Nyoman was quick to respond and very honest. He arranged a motorbike rental for us, and even returned the first deposit after the bank mistakenly held it. The house itself was comfortable and in a quiet spot, close to great beaches and the shops we needed. We had a great stay, and I’d recommend it. Thank you, Nyoman :)

A note about the noise: neighbors who moved in with a 3-5 year old child have been partying until midnight. You can hear every word, and they don’t seem concerned about the people around them. The place itself was lovely. There’s a big bed, a private kitchen, and a beautiful garden of your own. The host and staff were welcoming and friendly. There’s also a local cat who catches geckos and snakes, like a little protector.

The house is private and the bed was really comfortable, so it worked well for a longer stay. We had the best time at Green Bowl, and the staff did a lot to make us feel comfortable.

The room looked beautiful, and the little yard gave us a sense of privacy and calm that’s hard to find in such a touristy area. But it wasn’t very clean. Spider webs covered the ceiling, including spots a broom could easily reach. We also had loud music and partying from the room next door until after midnight. When I mentioned it to staff, they said the sound came from the beach, though it was clearly the neighbors. It felt like they didn’t want to deal with enforcing any quiet rules. The hotel itself is very beautiful, but those issues left me disappointed.
