Moritz Palm Villa

The view is beautiful, but I felt there was much better value for the money elsewhere. The villas were clean enough, though not especially well kept or anything special. Breakfast was very average, and one night a stray dog howled. The remote location made everything difficult, and there was no information at the concierge or anyone to talk to, which left us confused and disappointed.

The team were helpful, always smiling, and checked in to see if we needed anything. We could text the butler and got prompt help with everything we asked for. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the villa. The views are stunning, the pool is great, and the kitchen has all the utilities. There are two wide bedrooms, each with a toilet. It’s an amazing place for a peaceful, memorable break, and I highly recommend it. Getting there was confusing because the roads connect in a way that’s hard to follow, so it’s better to have a driver who knows the area. There are also lots of dogs walking nearby on the roads. A couple of things could be improved. I found spider nests in many corners, and there was no trash bin in one toilet or in the living room. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but the choices are limited. You can get eggs, scrambled, boiled, or omelette, with one piece of toast, jam, butter, a cucumber slice, two tomato slices, and orange juice. The Indonesian option is noodles or rice with egg, served with the same sides and juice. We asked about a buffet and were told it’s not available yet because it’s still under construction. The bread portions weren’t enough for us, so we asked for an extra piece per plate. I hope they focus on these areas for improvement.

The architecture is stunning, the pool was the best, and the view from the villa was incredible. We really enjoyed our stay, and the food and service were outstanding. Many thanks from me and my family 👍

Inside, the villa was clean and comfortable, and the people there were nice. But a large nearby burning sent smoke across the view all day, along with a very bad smell.
