AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach

We had a great meal, and the breakfast team were especially helpful and friendly with our 6-month-old baby. The hotel is nice, and every room has a little balcony with a scenic view. The pool was enjoyable too, with a bar where you could order drinks. On arrival, staff gave us a warm welcome. The lobby is on the top floor and has a breathtaking view. The location near the airport made getting there quick. We highly recommend the food.

The weather cancelled our island-hopping plans during our five-day stay, and we ended up eating every meal at Rinca Restaurant because of the rain and rough seas. It turned into a lovely, quiet break at Ayana Komodo. The food was consistently delicious and nicely presented, and the service was excellent. At our final dinner, the staff gave us a handmade card that we really treasure. Thanks so much to Eldis, Joni, Rival, Wen, Kadek, Yano, and Sades for being so kind and making us feel at home. We also appreciated Hendra at the Pool Bar, who always made sure we had food and drinks while we were by the pool. Around the resort, we enjoyed exploring the amenities and getting to know the warm, attentive team. Our son had a great time at the Kids' Club and made new friends. My husband and I could relax with coffee and a book. Miss Merlyn and Miss Felty were especially caring and fun with him, and he said he missed playing with them after we left Labuan Bajo. Thank you both! We'd picked a bad time for the trip, but those slower days were a blessing in disguise. We couldn't go island-hopping this time, so we're already looking forward to returning to Labuan Bajo when the weather is more welcoming, and spending more time at Ayana Komodo with the staff.

Housekeeping kept my room spotless each day, and the evening turn-down was such a thoughtful touch. They even asked if I needed any extra supplies. I had a wonderful four-night stay at Ayana, with really kind people and great hospitality.

The hotel sits in a quieter part of Labuan Bajo, and I had a very enjoyable stay. My Ocean View room was roomy, with a bathtub, balcony, and a nice view. Cleanliness was decent for a five-star place in Indonesia. There's a small private beach that's safe for children, plus a pier with a cafe and snorkeling spot. The breakfast buffet was good too. They have quite a range of things to do, including a kids club, library, gym, coral planting, kayaking, a private island, and cruises to other islands. The downside is that the private beach is rather small. Given the price, I wish kayak use had been included for free.
