Blue Ocean Hotel

We ended up booking a night at the nearby Deja Vu hotel just to get a proper hot shower. We had no hot water for all three nights. On the first evening I took a cold shower; by the second, I felt misled and asked for a refund so we could leave, but the hotel refused. They offered no temporary fix and made no real effort to resolve it. At first they said it would be fixed the next day. The following day, they said maintenance was on leave and suggested we could switch rooms the day after that. They even said Room No. 1, occupied for just one night, would be available. But on the third day they suddenly said the hotel was full and there was nowhere to move us. After I argued with the front desk, they said they could cancel one night on Agoda for a refund, but couldn’t guarantee we’d actually get it. No refund had been offered before then. If the hot water was already broken when we checked in, they shouldn’t have put us in that room. Instead, we got delays and scripted responses with no solution. For the same sort of price, I’d book elsewhere, especially if you like hot showers.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and I’d happily stay here again. The rooms are very spacious, and the location is excellent. I even got my laundry back the same day, which was a nice bonus. The lower-floor rooms have a slightly obstructed sea view, but there’s always the roof terrace to relax on. Recommended!

The service was friendly and the location is excellent, but at the same price I could get a better room nearby. The basics weren’t all there: the TV didn’t work because, they said, the antenna was being repaired. The room layout was awkward, especially in the bathroom. The bidet was on the left, and reaching the toilet meant climbing two steps, which felt unusual. Breakfast was edible. They advertise a balcony, but it wasn’t maintained.

Agoda shows discounted prices to attract customers, but the customer surely won’t get those prices. Half the rooms face the noisy street. The other half face the port, which is certainly not noisy.
