The staff were welcoming and happy to help, and breakfast was ready right at 6 each morning. Our room was clean and pleasant, with a really pretty balcony. We were very happy we stayed here, no complaints :)

The service problems made this a very frustrating stay. We paid for transfers over several days after the manager promised one free day as a discount. The driver was late every day after the first, usually by more than five minutes. When we raised it at reception, a female staff member refused to apologize and said, “You didn't wait that long.” On day six, their vehicle was blocked by another car and staff couldn't find the owner, so we lost more than ten minutes and had to walk to the meeting point. When I later asked to deduct the unused day, the same receptionist denied the manager had promised a free day. She couldn't explain the mismatch and told me to “get your head checked.” That personal insult was shocking and unacceptable. There were also repeated issues with breakfast. The pre-ordered box was just one and a half slices of bread, a banana, a boiled egg and some jam, nowhere near enough. We switched to eating at the rooftop restaurant, but breakfast wasn't ready by the advertised 6 a.m. start. One morning there were still no eggs at 6:15, a real problem for early tours. The building was difficult to manage with large luggage: there is no elevator and the stairs are steep. Water dispensers are on each floor, but the room thermos has a wide opening that makes it hard to fill without spilling, and the dispensers often ran dry in the evening, leaving us to search other floors. We were on the third floor and could hear a washing machine running all night near the rooftop restaurant because the sound insulation was so poor. Housekeeping often left cleaning tools in our room and sometimes didn't put new liners in the trash bins.

The breakfast area has a nice view, and the breakfast itself is simple. It's only about five minutes from the port for island hopping. This is a basic hotel, so you get what you pay for. There are no lifts, though staff are happy to carry large bags up and down. Our room had no shaver or toothbrush, the bathroom smelled mouldy, and the air conditioner was tucked into a corner where we couldn't feel the cool air.

The bar was very reasonably priced, and breakfast came with a great view. Staff were lovely and the room was comfortable. The hotel sits a little back from the main area, but restaurants and other places are only a couple of minutes away on foot. I really enjoyed staying here.
