Hotel FX 72 Labuan Bajo

Breakfast was only a very small amount, and I never got a decent night's sleep. Huge holes in the wall let in noise and cigarette smoke from people outside. The first room smelled of mold, so I moved to another that smelled less bad. But as soon as I took off my shoes, I noticed the floor was sticky. There seemed to be no real cleaning. Insects were all over it, mostly tiny ants dragging other insects around. There were ants in odd places too, including every hole in the bathroom. That bathroom had no mirror, and both shower heads were cracked. The overhead one still worked somewhat, but the handheld one sprayed water everywhere. When I went to bed, the pillows smelled. Under their cases, the fabric had lots of black spots, likely mold. After my first night, I had a scooter accident that left me with lots of open wounds. I couldn't stay in such an unhygienic place, so I asked to be charged for just the first two nights and refunded for the rest I'd paid. They refused and kept all the money. I had to leave and got no refund for the unused nights.

The hotel seems quite new, and the staff treated us professionally. Everyone was so friendly and kind that I felt at home. Breakfast was continental but tasty. I was really excited to stay here and would recommend it in a tourist town like this. I'd love to come back.

The room was small, the bathroom flooded, and the road in from the main road was really bad.

There wasn't much to like. The receptionist was sleeping on the floor, the room had mold everywhere and I had to move because of the smell. Breakfast was poor too.
