The staff made my stay: they were very helpful and made me feel well looked after. I’d booked Surya Hotel because it was one of the few places still available when I got to Labuan bajo, and I ended up with no regrets. The room was good enough, breakfast was good, and the location is handy for town for the price. The Wi-Fi in the room was weak. I’d recommend it if you’re on a budget and want to be near town :)

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Even in peak season I found it slightly overpriced for a budget place. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, the rooms smelled musty, and the toilets only worked with a hand flush because the regular flush was broken. The restaurant was also unclean and right by a sewage channel. I had stomach problems after breakfast. There are better places in Labuan Bajo, even during peak season.

The water is the one thing I really wouldn’t want to deal with again. The Wi-Fi was also very weak, and I had to go near reception to get a signal. Still, for IDR 150K for a non-AC room, I gave it 3 stars for the low price. Overall, I thought the hotel was good.
