Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

I really enjoyed staying here on my trip to Flores. The quiet, peaceful surroundings and attentive, friendly staff made it special. The room was spacious, and the pool was great. They even surprised me with birthday decorations on the bed, which made me feel very special. Thank you! The only drawback is that it's a bit far from the main town. If you're taking a day trip to Komodo National Park, check whether your tour provider offers pickup from the resort. I'd definitely recommend it for a relaxing resort-style getaway.

Walking through the grounds after dark was especially peaceful, and asking the desk for food for the Koi is a nice touch. The restaurant served carefully presented, high quality food, and the staff made us feel at home with their smiles, greetings, and readiness to help. We had come straight from Hilton in Nusa Dua, yet this boutique resort never felt like a step down in quality, service, or experience. Our room was roomy and cosy, with exceptionally comfortable beds. There were thoughtful details everywhere, from bedtime stories left after cleaning to spare toilet rolls in branded bags. The calm surroundings left us feeling rested and rejuvenated. We’d happily stay at Sudamala Komodo again, and it’ll be among the first resorts we look for elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

The gardens, trees, and pool were all very well maintained, giving the property a warm, welcoming feel. We also really enjoyed the restaurant, especially its tasty breakfast selection. Our travel agency booked three nights for my wife Hélène and me, and everything was lovely. The staff were kind and welcoming. We spent the most time with the restaurant and bar team, so a special thank you to them for making our honeymoon stay so nice.

The rooms were a dream, especially the outdoor bathroom, and the bed was so comfortable. Everyone was smiling and ready to make sure we were happy. I even shed a tear when it was time to go, and I’m already thinking about coming back. It’s such a beautiful place, and the people make it even better. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. If you want to get away from everything, relax, and recharge, this is just right. Thanks for a wonderful stay, highly recommended.
